Local businessman completes tax seminar

Kenny Book, owner of Book's Bookkeeping & Tax Service, 27 E. Broadway St., has completed the income tax seminar through the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service, which was held in Lexington Nov. 19-20. He was awarded 16 credit hours of continuing education credits and 16 hours of CPE credits.

New restaurant opens downtown

A Sam's Hot Dog Stand franchise has opened in downtown Winchester, selling all-American fare such as hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, ice cream, homemade desserts and other favorites.

The business is owned by Paul Haney and Eric Martin of Lexington. It marks the 50th location for the West Virginia-based company.

Sam's is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday and is closed on Sunday. More information is available by calling 744-4584.

Delta Gas authorizes quarterly dividend

Delta Natural Gas Company's Board of Directors on Nov. 19 authorized a quarterly stock dividend of 32.5 cents per share to be paid Dec. 15. to all common shareholders of record as of Nov. 30.
