Rabies clinics held in Lincoln



The Lincoln County Rabies Vaccination Clinic, sponsored by the Lincoln County Health Department, The Animal Care Center and The Stanford Veterinary Clinic, will be held at several locations throughout the county for the reduce fee of $5 per domestic animal. Clinic dates, times and locations are: 6:30-8 p.m. Friday, Lincoln County High School; 6:30-8 p.m. Monday, Waynesburg Elementary School; 8-9:30 a.m, Wednesday, Crab Orchard Elementary School gym parking lot; and 6:30-8 p.m. July 1, Hustonville Elementary School.

Chamber to host workshops



Danville/Boyle County Chamber of Commerce will host a number of workshops in the coming weeks.

* 1:30-2:30 p.m. June 30 at Inter-County Energy's community room, the Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce will host a Microsoft Windows 7 demonstration. It is a free event and will demonstrate some of the features of the new software program before it is purchased.

* The Small Business Development Center will offer three workshops for business owners and potential business owners. 1-3 p.m. July 12, a cash flow workshop will be held.Later that day, 5:30-7:30 p.m., a workshop on developing a business plan will be held. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the chamber at (859) 236-2361. On Sept. 13, a business start-up basics workshop will be offered.

* 8 a.m-noon Aug. 13, a ‘Passion for Service’ workshop will be held. Reservations are required. Sponsors are needed. For more information, call (859) 236-2361.

Football team parents’ meeting planned



LANCASTER — A meeting of the Garrard County Middle School football team parents will be 6 p.m. Tuesday at the old high school (new middle school) cafeteria. Parents will receive important paperwork and information concerning student-participation in the upcoming 2010 football season.

Stephanie Ramos’ father, Carlos Ramos, was inadvertently omitted from the announcement that ran on a Scrapbook page (A4) Wednesday about Stephanie being chosen as a State Finalist in the National American Miss Kentucky Pageant. Carlos Ramos was not included on the press release submitted to the paper.
