Marie Lockhart Kidd, 87, of Meadow Lane died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, in Danville.
Sarah Marie Knupp was born Monday, Nov. 13, 1922, in Montreat, N.C. She was a daughter of the late Martin Knupp and Rebecca White Bradley. Mrs. Kidd retired after 35 years as a nurse at Kentucky State Hospital and Danville Youth Development Center. She was a member of First Church of God on Harrodsburg Road in Danville.
Survivors include her dear husband, Everett Kidd of Danville; daughters, Patricia Lockhart of Danville, Priscilla Burdette of Charleston, W.V., and Sandy King of Junction City; a son, John (and wife, Barbara) Lockhart of Danville; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her son and grandsons.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
