Dark Woods Convention 1.5 brings notable guests and celebrities to Lebanon

LEBANON — Horror and paranormal fans will gather at Centre Square here to meet, greet and get spooked at Dark Woods Convention 1.5 , set for Oct. 1-3.

This unique event brings fans together to socialize and meet some of their favorite celebrities, including actors, wrestlers, television and radio personalities, paranormal guests, music performers, artists and independent filmmakers.

Special guests at Dark Woods include “Survivor: All-Stars” $1 million winner Rupert Boneham; Ari Lehman (Jason in “Friday the 13th”); scream queen Tiffany Shepis; WWF wrestler Al Snow; Seven Thorn (first dark prince of ECW); Daniel Emery Taylor (“Return of Swamp Thing”); David Fultz (“The Dark Knight”); Jeffrey Reddick (screenplay writer for “Final Destination”); reality star Mike Holman (MTV’s “Jackass”); professional wrestling icon The Honky Tonk Man; comic book artist and photographer Chasen Grieshop (“Grimm Fairy Tales”); and horror director Tim Ritter.

Other features include panel discussions with the guests, film screenings, contests, exhibits and a sideshow.

Dark Woods Convention 1.5 is a product of Kentucky native Cherokee Hall, whose activities in the film world include directing, writing, producing and acting. The world premiere of Hall’s first feature film, “Mountain Mafia,” at 8 p.m. Friday in Angelic Hall at Centre Square. The film was shot primarily in Lebanon and Lexington.
