Fayette County Alzheimer’s Family Caregiver Training — 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Lexington Public Library, Northside Branch, 1733 Russell Cave Road. The program is for those who have a friend or family member who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. Local and statewide experts in aging and Alzheimer’s care will speak on Alzheimer’s disease, caregiving basics, legal decisions, and how to care for the caregiver. Registration is required and includes lunch. Call 1-800-272-3900.

Body Recall — 9:30 a.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Boyle County Senior Citizens Center. For more information, call the center at (859) 236-2070.

Boyle County Adult Learning Center — Open Monday through Friday. Classes are held Monday through Thursday in reading, math and language. Computer assisted classes are in the afternoon. GED Testing is by appointment only. Off-site classes are offered Wednesday and Thursday at the Boyle County Detention Center, and Tuesday and Thursday at the Family Resource Center in Junction City. Mercer County Adult Education — Free GED preparation, workplace soft skill training, basic computer training and other instruction based on needs of participant. Nature’s Thyme Herb Group — 7 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Garrard County Extension Office. The program will be Medicinal Herbs and Prescription Drug Interactions.
