October 06, 2010

Today is the last day to enter The Advocate-Messenger’s 5th annual NIE pet calendar contest.

To enter, email your pet’s photo to ccampbell@amnews.com or drop off a photo to The Advocate-Messenger office at 330 S. Fourth St. in Danville. All entries must be received by 5 pm. The entry form is attached to this story.

Pets of all shapes, sizes, color, and breed are eligible to win. Based on voting results, 13 pets will be chosen to grace the 2011 calendar – 12 on the inside and one grand prize winner on the cover. The contestants will be seen online and in Sunday's Kentucky Advocate. Voting will then begin. It will cost $.25 per vote, but the money raised will go to be used to help further literacy in our area through the Advocate's Newspapers in Education (NIE) program.

Each winning pet will receive a free professional photo shoot with Logue Photography in Danville.
