A benefit barbecue is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Boyle County Fairgrounds to help raise money to transport a Bulgarian orphan to the United States.
The 7-year-old boy, Zdravko, was born with a congenital facial malformation called agenesis of the nose and received plastic surgery at the age of 3 to create a nose.
He is being adopted by Jessamine Career and Technology Center teacher Vanessa Ruda and her husband, Travis.
All guests are asked to contribute $10 each or a love offering of their leading.
