Police arrested a Winchester man for allegedly setting his apartment on fire early this morning.
Johnny W. Hayes, of 17 E. Broadway, will be charged with arson, Winchester Police fire investigator Jeremy Hisle said this morning.
Firefighters were called out at 2:30 a.m. to fight the fire, which heavily damaged the second floor apartment. No one was injured.
Investigators have not determined whether this morning's fire is connected to a string of other suspicious fires throughout Winchester this week.
