Recycling open housebegins next week



Donna Fechter, Boyle County solid waste coordinator, will hold an open house 5-7 p.m. Monday through Oct. 29 at the Boyle County Recycling Center at the Government Services Center, 1862 South Danville By-pass. Residents who would like more information on the curbside recycle program are urged to attend. Acceptable and non-acceptable items for recycling will be displayed. Garrard library plans seed swap



LANCASTER — Garrard County Public Library will host its second annual seed swap at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Participants are invited to bring favorite seeds from vegetable and flower gardens to share, and to take home some new seeds. Seed packets for storing seeds can be picked up at the library, 101 Lexington St.

Boyle County Board of Education — 7 p.m. Thursday at the high school library.

Danville-Boyle County Recreation Commission — 4 p.m. today at Millennium Park, Rotary-Kroger Shelter.
