Chapter 632 AARP met Thursday, Sept. 30 at the Generations Center.
Don Rose, president, presided. He led the pledge to the flag.
Wilma Ballard gave the invocation with a moment of silence in memory of Vesteen Pasley and prayers for Clyde and Louise Kohl, who moved to Florida, and for Clyde and Evelyn Hudson. Clyde Hudson recently passed away.
Following a potluck meal, Lisa Smith spoke about Care Tenders, a nursing group that provides in-home care.
Bobbye Woodruff reported on the AARP picnic at Jacobson Park. Nineteen members of Chapter 632 attended. The band Custom Made performed.
Jim Crowell reported on decisions made at the board meeting. The October meeting will feature a silent auction and bids may be made only in dollar increments. All proceeds will go to charity.
