RICHMOND —  A Richmond man was killed and two Boyle residents injured in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on Ky. 52 in Madison County.
State police said Kimberly Adkins Pendygraft, 34, of Junction City was eastbound on Ky. 52 five miles west of Richmond shortly before 5 p.m. when she lost control of a 2002 Dodge Stratus. The car left the road and struck several trees before overturning.
Kenneth Adkins, 33, of Richmond, who was riding in the back seat, was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene by Madison County Coroner Jimmy Cornelison.
Pendygraft and the front seat passenger, David Brown, 40, of Danville, both suffered multiple injuries. They were taken by ambulance to University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.
The wet road is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash. State police said none of the occupants were wearing seat belts.
Trooper Toby Coyle is investigating the collision.
