Dear Editor,
Well, even before the dust has settled from the mid-term elections, we are seeing posturing from both sides of the aisle. The voters have sent a strong and clear message to the progressives and this administration — stop the spending and stop jamming unpopular legislation down the throats of the people, and start listening to your constituents. It is we, the people, not them, the government elitists.
For far too long, the American people have been asleep at the wheel, but now they have woken up. These past 20 months have been a real eye-opener for our citizens. The emergence of the Tea Party participants has brought us a much more educated and informed electorate, and for that we should all be grateful, as knowledge is power.
Marco Rubio, Senate-elect in Florida, nailed it when he said the Republicans haven’t been given a mandate; they have been given a second chance. Don’t blow it, Republicans. Your constituents are watching.
