A Stanton woman died early Sunday morning after being ejected from her overturning car on the Mountain Parkway.
Amy R. Dombroski, 31, of Stanton, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash near the 2.5 mile post of the highway.
Clark County Sheriff Berl Perdue Jr. said there were no witnesses to the crash, which was reported at 3:25 a.m. Sunday.
Investigators said Dombroski was traveling west in a 2009 Chrysler Sebring when the car dropped off the right side of the road and hit the end of a guardrail at approximately 65 to 70 miles-per-hour. The car overturned several times, during which Dombroski was thrown from the vehicle.
The car came to rest 213 feet down the highway from the point of impact.
Deputies are awaiting test results to see if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident, Perdue said.
Initially, deputies thought there was a child in the car at the time, because there was a child safety seat. Perdue said the child had been left with a relative prior to the crash.
The road was closed for a little more than an hour.
