The worldly life of Martha Bobbitt Rankin came to a close Thursday, November 11, 2010. She joins in death her mother and father Flora and Hugh Robertson, sister Barbara Caldwell, brother Tony Robertson, and beloved husband Joe Rankin.
A true Kentucky lady, she loved music, dancing and her Maltese dog Layla. She is survived by daughters Dianna Massey and Nancy Bobbitt; grandchildren Rick Massey (and wife Sharon), Ryan Massey (and fiancé Erin Crowell), and Rhonda Massey Black (and husband Adam); great grandchildren Meg Massey, Maddy Massey, Jeri Erbe Towne (and husband Joey), Jordan Erbe, and Chelsea Reed; great-great-grandchildren Joe Towne, Jace Towne, and Jack Blizzard.
Visitation will be at Stith Funeral Home in Danville, KY on Tuesday, November 16, 6-8 p.m., followed by the funeral service Wednesday November 17, at 1 p.m. Martha will be laid to rest in Bellevue cemetery on November 17, 2010.
