Former GRC coach to speak to Kiwanis

Guy Strong, a former George Rogers Clark High School basketball coach and University of Kentucky basketball player, will speak on “Rupp Basketball and Beyond” at the Winchester Kiwanis Club on Wednesday.
The club meets for lunch at noon at Taste of China on the Bypass.

WMU to meet on privilege fees

The Winchester Municipal Utilities Commission has scheduled a public meeting at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the WMU office to consider policies and procedures for implementing privilege fees.

Mayfield to speak at Rotary Club

Donna Mayfield, the newly elected state representative for Clark and Madison counties, will be the Winchester Rotary Club’s luncheon speaker Friday at noon at the Winchester Country Club. Dave Eldridge is the program chairman.

Community Services leaders Lions speakers

Judy Crowe, executive director of Clark County Community Services, and Jennifer Palmer, a board member of the local charity, were the guest speakers at the Boonesboro Lions Club meeting Thursday, Nov. 11.
CCCS operates a number of programs for low-income people in Winchester and Clark County.

Conkwright council to meet on Nov. 30


Conkwright Middle School will hold its regular School-based Decision-making Council meeting Tuesday, Nov 30, at 4 p.m. in the school library.
