Prep Swimming: Boyle girls win opening meet

The Boyle County girls opened their season Saturday with a rout of East Jessamine and West Jessamine at Boles Natatorium.
Boyle outscored second-place West Jessamine 728-282 after winning eight of 10 events in the three-team meet.
The Boyle boys finished 54 points behind West Jessamine in second place, and Boyle led the combined standings.
Boyle’s girls swept all three relays, and Laura Edelen, Rachel Haltom, Mackenzie Schwarz, Cayle Crown-Weber each Lindsay Logue each won one individual event.
Jack Crawford had two wins and Jake Matano had one for the Boyle boys.
