Obituary: Mary Stevens

NEW CASTLE — Mary Lee Stivers Stevens, 88, of Louisville, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011. 
Born in Henry County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Geneva Burnett Stivers. She also lived in Danville. She retired from General Motors after 28 years of service in Flint, Mich. She was a member of Galela Baptist Church. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse E. Stevens; and two brothers, James and Deward Stivers.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasureville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
