Herman Emery Reffett, Jan. 21

Herman Emery Reffett, 78, formerly of Winchester, widower of Christine Smith Reffett, passed away on Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at the Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center.


Mr. Reffett was born in Clark County on Feb. 24, 1932, to the late John and Addie Wilson Reffett. He was a carpenter, a Korean Conflict Army veteran, and attended the Church of the Living God.


He is survived by his daughter, Allie (Randall) Sebastian of Richmond; two stepsons, David Ogden of Lexington and Reed Stamper of Florida.; four grandchildren, Kristie (William) Jones, Peggy (Tony) Willoughby, Janice Workman and Ernest Hale; 10 great-grandchildren, Maranda and William Banks, Anthony, Logan, Hailey and Landon Emery Willoughby and Jacob, Jordan, Joshua and Allie Workman; and a sister, Nettie Willoughby.  


He was preceded in death by a stepson, John Stamper, and two brothers, David and Paul Reffett.


Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m., Mon., Jan. 24, at Scobee Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. by Rev. Rusty Wright.


Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery.  


Pallbearers will be William Jones, William Banks, Tony Willoughby, Wayne Steele, Carl Willoughby and Russell Willoughby.
