THURSDAY

— The Jessamine County Public Library is offering a free introduction to the Internet class from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

— Every Thursday morning in February and March, the Wilmore Senior Community Center will offer “Matter of Balance” classes from 10 a.m. to noon. The class is free and open to the public. For more information, call 858-3865 ext. 238.

— The Jessamine County Public Library will offer a free typing class from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

— The Jessamine County Public Library will offer a baby sign-language class on Feb. 3 and Feb. 10. Times for both dates are 6:30-7:15 p.m. and 7:30-8:15 p.m. Registration is required. Visit www.jesspublib.org or call 885-3523 to register.

FRIDAY

— Family storytime at the Jessamine County Public Library will take place from 10:30-11 a.m. It’s open for children ages 0-5.

— The Senior Saints from Tabernacle Baptist Church will perform at the Jessamine County Senior Center from 10:15-11:15 a.m.

— On Fridays in February, the Wilmore Senior Community Center will host country legends of the Grand Ole Opry at 1 p.m. For more information, call 858-3865 ext. 238.

SATURDAY

— Common Threads Needlework Group will meet at the Jessamine County Public Library from 10 a.m.  to noon.

— DIY for the Crafty Teen will  meet at the Jessamine County  Public Library from 1-2 p.m.

SUNDAY

— Sunday Funday at the Jessamine County Public Library will feature bird feeders at 2 p.m.

MONDAY

— The Jessamine County Senior Center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and welcomes people 60 years of age and older. The center has a fully equipped exercise room and a thrift shop. The seniors meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Activities are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bus service and a hot lunch are available on a donation basis. For more information, call 885-9102.

— The Jessamine County Senior Center, 111 Hoover Drive, plays quarter bingo from noon to 1 p.m. Monday and Friday afternoons. Call 885-9102 for more information.

— Mother Goose storytime at the Jessamine County Public Library will be at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

— The Jessamine County Horticultural Society will meet at 7 p.m. in room C at the Ag Learning Center at City-County Park. The public is welcome.

TUESDAY

— The TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) weight-loss support group meets from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Creekside Senior Apartments, 407 N. 2nd St. in Nicholasville. For cost and more information, contact Donald Wither at 312-7455.

— Every Tuesday and Thursday, the Wilmore Community Center offers senior net beginner computer classes from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

— Mother Goose storytime at the Jessamine County Public Library will be at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

— Preschool storytime at the Jessamine County Public Library will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday and at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

— The Jessamine County Ministerial Association will meet at noon at First Assembly of God, 1701 Wilmore Road in Nicholasville. Jessamine County pastors, ministers and chaplains are invited to attend. Lunch will be provided. RSVPs are not required but are appreciated. — The Wesley Village Book Club will meet at 1 p.m. at the Wilmore Community Center.

UPCOMING EVENTS

— During the month of February, the S.A.V.E. Center will be selling spay/neuter vouchers. The vouchers are valid at participating veterinary offices until August 1, 2011. For more information about the vouchers, please visit the S.A.V.E. Center, 400 1/2 Park Drive, Nicholasville, or call 881-0821.

— The Jessamine County Saddle Club will hold a chili supper/membership drive on Feb. 12 at the Jessamine County Extension Office, located at the Jessamine County Fairgrounds, at 6 p.m. The club will supply chili, sandwiches, drinks and utensils.
