CRAB ORCHARD — Lillian V. Stevenson Dunn-Young, 74, passed away Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Charleston Health Care Center in Danville.

Born May 17, 1936, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Jordan and Fannie Snodgrass Stevenson. She retired from the Lincoln County School System, having worked at the Stanford high and elementary schools, and was a member of First Baptist Church, Perryville.

To cherish her memories, Lillian leaves her children, Beverly (Ed) Sleet, Stephen (Tammy) Dunn, Kittie Thomas and Mack (Kim) Dunn; one stepdaughter, Katina Young; two brothers, Jordan (Bertie) Stevenson and Ernest (Lovia) Stevenson; three sisters-in-law, Addie J. Logan, Josephine Dunn-Green and Mary Young Frye; the joys of her life, seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two special great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by a sister; three brothers; the father of her children, James C. Dunn; and her second husband, the Rev. Raymond Young.

Pallbearers Include Marc Logan, Thaddeus Stevenson, John T. Logan Jr., Cornelius Stevenson, Glenn Dunn, Michael D. Stevenson, Tony Bess, Keith Welch and Gene Shaw.

Honorary pallbearers are members of Boyle County EMS.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011 at First Baptist Church, Crab Orchard, officiated by the Rev. Oliver Miller Jr. and Pastor Gerry K. Hearn. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at McKnight Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. until service time at First Baptist Church, Crab Orchard.
