Patsy Ritchie Allen, 74, of Clark County, wife of Jimmy Allen, passed away at her home on Sunday, Feb. 13, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Allen was born in Nicholas County on Nov. 1, 1936 to the late Hobart and Mae Moreland Ritchie.
She was a retired bookkeeper, former Montgomery County treasurer and former office manager for the Allen Concrete Co. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Clark County Saddle Club.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Kim Harper Poncer (Bill) of Lexington and Daryl Harper (Suzanne) of Mount Sterling; three stepchildren, Annie Gabbard (D.J.), John Allen (Janis) and Nancy Turner (Fielding), all of Winchester; a granddaughter, Samantha Harper of Catlettsburg; four stepgrandchildren, Zack, Justin and Andrew Allen and Henry Turner, all of Winchester; two brothers, Randall Ritchie of Carlisle and David Ritchie (Norma) of Flemingsburg; a sister, Dolly Ritchie of Cynthiana; several nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Star.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Hobart Ritchie Jr., Kenneth Ritchie and B.J. Ritchie.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 19 at the First Baptist Church, 32 E. Lexington Ave., Winchester by the Rev. Lee Cruse and Dr. Ed Mesta.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
