The Rotary Club of Danville is hosting an international dinner fundraising event with authentic cuisines from more than 20 countries. Cooks participating in the event will prepare two dishes from their respective countries.
The event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. March 12 at Centre College’s Chowan Hall. Tickets are $50 in advance or $400 for a table of eight. A cash bar with wine and beer from around the world will be available.
The club supports worthy causes in the community and across the world. Ninety percent of the money raised from the dinner will stay in Boyle County while the remaining 10 percent may be used for literacy, disaster relief, polio eradication or other important efforts. During the past 10 years, more than $100,000 has been donated to community causes by the club.
The event is the club’s annual community fundraising event. Contact members for tickets or call Lisa Knetsche at (859) 583-2142 or Martha Kerbaugh at (859) 236-3924.
The club, which was chartered in 1926, meets at noon each Friday at Danville Country Club.
