Millerd 'Doc' Brinegar: Feb. 20, 2011

Millerd “Doc” Brinegar, 68, of Clay City, husband of Trudy Wells Brinegar, passed away Sunday from a very short illness.  
He was born in Estill County on Oct. 21, 1942 to the late Andrew and Velda Plowman Brinegar.  
He is survived by three sons, Vance (Jean) Brinegar of Winchester, Greg (Dana) Brinegar of Winchester and Ronald (Kitty) Brinegar of Winchester; two daughters, Tammy Ballard of Clay City and Bertha (Danny) Brewer of Winchester; five brothers; three sisters; a stepson, Clarence White of Winchester; mother-in-law, Geraldine Wells of Clay City; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  
He was preceded in death by his late wife, Virgie Jo Reffitt Brinegar; and two children, Faith Inez Brinegar and Tony Lee Brinegar.  
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. Greg Willoughby at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  
Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery.  
Pallbearers will be Ryan Ballard, Clarence White, Jonathan Brinegar, Carson Hansel, Ricky Martin, Billy Brinegar, Jim Brinegar and Jackie Brinegar.  
Honorary pallbearers will be Thelma (Jay) Wilburn, Betty Hansel, J.B. Martin, Walter Ballard and Mike Wells.
