A new sit-down casual restaurant that offers American cuisine opened its doors for the first time in Kentucky on Monday. Copper River Grill, which has six locations in South Carolina, opened at 501 Keene Centre Drive off U.S. 27 in Nicholasville.
Copper River CEO Dan Angell said the food, price and atmosphere set the restaurant apart from others like it.
“Copper River Grill is super high-quality ingredients at very moderate prices, and we have a special environment,” he said.
Owner-Operator Nathan Reese said the food, which includes sandwiches, burgers, salads, steaks, pizza and pasta, is high quality because it is prepared at the restaurant.
“We do it fresh, and we do it from scratch,” Reese said. “About 85 or 90 percent of what we do, we do inside these four walls, from soups and salad dressings to sauces to hand-cutting every burger from fresh, never-frozen ground beef. Almost everything we do is from scratch here.”
