Studio One School of Dance recently had seven teams competing at the Showdown of Champions clogging championships in Knoxville, Tenn.
The team competed against cloggers from 12 other states reaching from Georgia to Maryland and all the way to California. The teams competed in several categories in Amateur and Challenge events.
The youngest Studio One team to perform was Lil’ Power, which consists of Jenna Dotson, Karlee Aldridge and Janna Beth Winburn. They competed in Amateur Small Team and were third runner-up Amateur Artistic Expression.
Star Power, which consists of Faith Hughes, Aaliyah Crawford, Taylor McCord, ReAnna Whitaker, Micah Ledford and Jackson Campbell competed in Amateur Small Team, where they were the third runner-up, and Amateur Moving Line and Amateur Exhibition.
Steel Power, which consists of Lyric Campbell, Abigail Dotson, Emily Rice, Shelby Gilkerson, Janna Godby, Kayla Godby, Abby Easterling, Lauren Thomas, and Sophie and Lacee Duncan, competed in Challenge Hoedown, where they were the first runner-up; Challenge Traditional Line, where they were the third runner-up; Challenge Precision, where they were the fourth runner-up; Challenge Moving Line; and Challenge Standing Line.
