In the field events, the Colts had a number of strong finishes. Sean Donaldson took second in the high jump, clearing 5 feet, 8 inches. Tanner Lee and Ethan Darby placed third and fourth, respectively, in the pole vault, each clearing 9 feet, 6 inches.
Josh Bickelman placed third in the long jump, jumping 18 feet, 2 inches.
EJ boys
The Jags had a number of strong performances in distance events.
Alex Maina placed sixth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 55.82 seconds.
In the 800-meter run, Matt Hall placed third (2:06.32) and Cody Collins placed seventh (2:10.78). Collins also took third in the 1,600-meter with a time of 4:49.78.
In the field, David Prewitt leaped 17 feet, 5 inches in the long jump, placing seventh. And Corey Kenion had a toss of 38 feet, 4 inches in the shot put, good enough for sixth.
WJ girls
The Lady Colts were led by Abby Wiggins. The sophomore placed second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.28 seconds and was first in the 300-meter hurdles at 49.57.
Lisa Troyer came in sixth in the 100-meter hurdles at 18.95.
The 4x100-meter relay team had a third-place finish with a time of 55.05. The team took third in the 4x200-meter, fifth in the 4x400-meter and fifth in the 4x800-meter.
Alexis Kierstead placed sixth in the discus with a throw of 73 feet, 4 inches.
EJ girls
Mallory Osborne took seventh place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:07.45, and Shelby Courtney placed ninth in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 6:11.93.
The Lady Jags placed sixth in the 4x100-meter relay, fifth in the 4x200, sixth in the 4x400 and eighth in the 4x800.
East also showed well in the field events. Danielle Lee placed second in the high jump, clearing 4 feet, 8 inches. Daylei Dekrey placed third at 4 feet, 6 inches.
Lacey Tingley placed 10th in the long jump, jumping 11 feet, 8 inches. Madison Collins had a throw of 21 feet, 5 inches in the shot put, placing her 10th.
Kayla Richards and Madison Collins placed ninth and 10th, respectively, in the discus.
