Kenneth Lee Spengler, 83, of Winchester, husband of Frances Thornton Spengler, passed away Wednesday at the Clark Regional Medical Center.  
He was born Aug. 29, 1927, in Lexington, to the late Francis “J.T.” and Lillian Hall Spengler.  
He was a mechanical engineer for Johnson Controls, then later owner and operator of Spengler Engineering and Machine Shop.  
Ken was a member of the Clark County Saddle Club, Lions Club and Emmanuel Episcopal Church.  
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Larry (Betsy) Spengler of Winchester; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy (Paul) Osborne of Winchester; four grandchildren, Stephanie (Jeff) Osborne-Nelson of Lexington, Amanda (Leslie) Ingram, Lindsey (Jacob) Frick and Jessica Spengler, all of Winchester; and seven great-grandchildren.  
Memorial services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. by Father John Cavendish at Emmanuel Episcopal Church.  
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of service.  
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice East, 407 Shoppers Drive, Winchester, KY 40391, the Salvation Army, 30 Taylor Ave., Winchester, KY 40391, or to the charity of one’s choice.  
In charge of arrangements is Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St.
