Volunteers make CAC events special

April 14, 2011

From “Dinosaurs: The Big Picture” to getting everyone “All Aboard!”, the Community Arts Center’s continued success stems from our volunteers who generously donate their time and talents throughout the year. It takes a village to run an arts center, as seen firsthand through the numerous hours volunteers spend at our Community Arts Center. Whether it is leading a craft activity during the summer Arts Exploration Camp, regularly lending a hand during our monthly Lunch with the Arts series, or sitting at the front desk to welcome visitors, our volunteers go above and beyond the call the duty.

We invite our volunteers to take a bow for their contributions to our two great blockbuster exhibits. These volunteers invested more than 1,500 hours during the “All Aboard!” exhibit — leading activities and lessons for students on field trips, sweeping and cleaning, and keeping the trains safely on the tracks — all while making visitors feel at home.

As part of National Volunteer Week, the board of directors and staff of the Community Arts Center extend a special “Thank You” to every pair of hands that help to maintain the 11,000 square feet of our wonderful arts center. Their dedication and service furthers our mission to bring arts opportunities to every member of our community.
