Mary Lynn Johns, daughter of Bradley and Donna Johns of Wilmore, and Joshua Paul Johnson, son of Dan and Myra Leraaen and Terry and Pat Johnson of Jacksonville, Ala., were joined in marriage on Aug. 28, 2010, at St. Luke Catholic Church in Nicholasville with Deacon Richard Watson officiating. An outdoor reception followed on the Johns’ Family Farm outside Wilmore. In keeping with the couple’s love of sports and loyalty to their home teams, a Kentucky “blue” and Alabama “red” color scheme was used throughout the wedding and reception.
The bride’s grandparents are the late Sanders and Willie Mae Johns of Wilmore, and the late Ned and Loretta Leitch of Nicholasville. The groom’s grandparents are Harrell and Sara Johnson and the late Thomas J. Allen and Lucille Allen, all of Jacksonville, Alabama.
The bride’s attendants were Audra Johns Meighan, Rebecca Bellman Johns, Gina Sundrup Johns, Ashley Sallee and Mary Dotterweich Brooks, all of Kentucky.
