Late night blaze destroys garage

Clark County firefighters Ron Thomas, left, and Battalion Chief Ben Wright directed a stream of water toward flames consuming a detached garage belonging to Dana Cox at 1488 McClure Road shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday. Firefighters managed to keep the house from catching fire, which was connected to the garage by a short breezeway. The breezeway, at right, was also on fire when firefighters arrived. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
