WAYNESBURG — Alice Fields Kilby, 81, of Waynesburg passed away early Saturday morning, April 30, 2011, at her home.
Born Thursday, Dec. 12, 1929, in Letcher County, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Dewey and Cisiah Fields. Alice worked at Genesco shoe factory, Palm Beach and American Greetings and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
Alice leaves behind her sons, Harold Raymond Kilby and his wife Paulette of Danville, and Frank Ryan Kilby and his wife Linda of Waynesburg; a daughter, Barbara Frances Pierce and her husband David of Liberty; brothers William J. Fields and his wife Virginia of Arkansas, and Charles Fields and his wife Patricia of Waynesburg; sisters, Robexie Cross of Waynesburg and Louanza Whitaker and her husband Harvey of Louisville; a sister-in-law, Peggy Fields of Arkansas; grandchildren, Raymond and Jason Kilby, Renee Kilby Combs, Frank Kilby Jr., Dewey and Jason Lee Kilby, Michael Woodall, Dr. James Turpin and Alice Walls; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George Dewey, Lowell Bob and Delano Fields; and sisters Letha, Lily, Virginia Marie and Jeannette.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home with Bro. Jason S. Kilby officiating. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Kilby, Jason S. Kilby, Jason L. Kilby, Frank Kilby, Jr., James Turpin and Michael Woodall.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home, Waynesburg.
