Claude B. 'C.B.' Rankin: April 28, 2011

Claude B. “C.B.” Rankin, 85, widower of Marjorie Hatton Rankin, passed away on Thursday, April 28, at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in West Palm Beach, Fla.  
A native of Winchester, he was the son of the late Allen and Fannie Stafford Rankin.  
He was retired from IBM.
Survivors include three daughters, Connie Withers of Richmond, Janet (Ted) Holland of Georgetown and Kathy (Gil) Turner of Okeechobee, Fla.; two grandchildren, Kim Darnaby and Steven Taulbee of Winchester; and four great-grandchildren, Dillion, Tyler, Kammie and Haley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 4, at Scobee Funeral Home by Dr. Ray Roach.
Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, at the funeral home.
