Alma Dee Berry Williams, 83, of Irvine, passed away Thursday, May 5, at the Compassionate Care Center after a long illness.


She was born Feb. 11, 1928 in Clark County and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Nancy Burch Berry.


She was a homemaker and a member of the Ivory Hill Baptist Church. She had lived in Estill County most of her life.


She is survived by her husband, Charles Williams Jr.; one daughter, Nancy Lou (Mike) Held of Richmond; one son, Charles T. “Tommy” (Barbara) Williams of Estill County; two sisters, Judy (Walter) Hunt of Winchester and Mary Sue (R.G.) Crump of Atlanta; two brothers, William (Arnita) Berry and James (Geneva) Berry, both of Winchester; three grandchildren, Anthony (Tonya) Williams, Steven Held and Cindy Held; a great-granddaughter, Hannah Mae Williams; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by one brother, David Berry, and one grandchild, Rebecca Williams.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 8, at 2 p.m. at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home C

Burial will be at the Sally Poore Cemetery.


Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.


Pallbearers will be Jean Woods, Matt Brandenburg, Dr. Harold Moberly, Richard Barnes, Jean Cooper, Sandy Barnes, Wallace Barnes, Jesse Barnes, Dave Barnes, Brian Barnes, Richie Barnes and Scottie Barnes.


Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Williams, Steve Held, Brian Berry, Philip Berry, Merrill Means and Douglas Means.
