LOUISVILLE — Wendell A. Robinson, 85, of Louisville, formerly of Danville, passed away Monday, May 9, 2011.
Born May 9, 1926, in Berea, Ky., he was the son of Lawrence and Hazel Robinson. He was regional vice president of Porter Paint Co., a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a retired colonel in the Kentucky National Guard. He was a member of Military Order of World Wars, MOAA, Beargrass Christian Church and Wildwood Country Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a beloved son, Michael Scott Robinson.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Louise; a son, Larry (Barbara); grandsons, Mike (Julie), Josh and Ian Robinson; a daughter-in-law, Diane Robinson; great-grandsons, Caleb and Noah; sisters, Wilma Gene Shannon and Connie Rankin; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be noon Friday at Pearson’s Funeral Home, 149 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville, with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday.
