Phyllis I. McClintock, 90, of Wilmore passed away Friday, May 6. She was a retired cafeteria manager for Jessamine County public schools and a member of The Evangelical Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Fenton and Vesta McEwen of Westerville, Neb.; two sisters, Phylbert McEwen Scott and Ruby McEwen Thomas; and two brothers-in-law, Ed Scott and Bill Dizney. She is survived by her husband of 70-plus years, James “J.W.” McClintock; sister-in-law Imogene Dizney; brother-in-law Gene Thomas; children Luckie and Pat McClintock of Greensboro, Ga., Peggy McClintock-Pauli of Wilmore, and Lynda and husband Brian Eckhardt of Minneapolis, Minn.; grandchildren Rocky and wife Amy McClintock of Georgetown, Martie and husband Stevan Steinfeld of Nashville, Tenn., Colt Pauli of High Bridge, Matthew and wife Hannah Eckhardt of Wilmore, and Katie and Joshua Eckhardt of Minneapolis; five nieces, Sandy and husband Larry Hock, Georgene and husband Don Ramsey, DeeAnn and husband Joe Lewis, Patricia and husband Bob Moody, and Suzanne and husband Roger Fain; four nephews, Eddie and wife Ruth Scott, Tom and wife Susan Thomas, Jerry and wife Kay Thomas, and Tim and wife Pat Thomas; and great-grandchildren Stephanie Carlon and Jason Steinfeld. Funeral service was 2:30 p.m. Monday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Harrodsburg Road with burial in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation was noon until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers were Rocky McClintock, Colt Pauli, Matthew and Joshua Eckhardt, Stevan Steinfeld, and Robert Moody. Honorary pallbearer was Tommy Cobb. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington KY 40504 in her memory.
