The East Jessamine softball team is headed to the state tournament after defeating Pulaski County 1-0 on Wednesday night in the Region 12 championship.
Lady Jag Sarah Rainwater hit two-out RBI single with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh inning to score McKayla Staton.
East will play in the state tournament whcih begins June 9 in Owensboro. The Lady Jags are just five days removed from winning the 46th District championship.
