Mary Slone, 98, born in Jackson County on Dec. 24, 1912, passed away June 4.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Tabitha Slone, and all her siblings: Carlista Harrison, Florence Lynch, Lucy Mercer, Noble Slone, Marshall Slone and Reba Slone.
Mary is survived by her five children, Edith Ogle of Sevierville, Tenn., Nina Sanders of Richmond, Emilie Burdine, Carroll Carr, and husband Paul, of McKee, and Terry (Lorene) Roberts of Troy, Ohio; and by five generations of various relatives.
She enjoyed asking, “When did my children get older than me?”
Mary was a past member of the McKee Reformed Church. She moved in 1974 to Winchester, where she was an active member of the Senior Citizens Center for many years and served on the Senior Board.

The visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, at Scobee Funeral Home. The funeral will be immediately following.
