First Baptist Church of Danville, 200 W. Walnut St., will hold a health awareness seminar 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdayn the church’s basement.

Miss 4th of July Pageant planned
The Crab Orchard Celebration will host the first annual Miss Fourth of July Pageant 7 p.m. on July 1. Contestants must attend a school in the Lincoln County school system and be between the ages of 13 and 7. Dress will be summer casual, may include sundress, shorts and capris with a Fourth of July theme.
The entry fee will be $10. Three places will be awarded with cash prizes and participate in the annual parade.

Goose Creek benefit concert for Gatewood campaign
Goose Creek Symphony will be performing a musical concert at Terrapin Hill Farm to benefit the Gatewood/Riley 2011 campaign. The benefit concert will be 8 p.m. Friday; gates open at noon.
The opening performance will be by Faubush Hill.
Cost is $20 per person; children under 12 free when accompanied by a parent.
Camping sites are available for $5, and parking is $5. Pets must be leashed and require a $20 pet pass. Food and concessions will be available. Coolers are welcome and alcohol is allowed. No alcohol will be for sale.
