Rape case to go to grand jury

June 08, 2011

STANFORD — A recent Lincoln County High School graduate accused of raping an underage student at the school last month will have his case presented to a grand jury.
Christopher D. Allen, 18, of 4174 Ky. 698, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of first-degree rape that allegedly occurred at the high school on May 31. He was arrested the next day and is being held in the Lincoln County Regional Jail on a $25,000 bond.
According to a criminal complaint filed by Trooper Paul Blanton, Allen forced the girl behind the stage at the school, “pulled her shorts and panties down and pulled her on top of him.” The girl told Allen “No” several times during the incident, the complaint states.
In a preliminary hearing Monday, Lincoln District Judge Janet Booth determined there was enough evidence to send the case to a grand jury for possible indictment. The next grand jury meets in Lincoln County on June 24.
