GRC Council’s parent run-off election

George Rogers Clark High School will be conducting a parent run-off election for the 2011-2012 School-based Decision-making Council on June 16 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  All balloting will take place in the main office.

Restaurants, hospital support Relay for Life

Two Mexican restaurants, El Camino Real and Don Señor, have teamed up with Clark Regional Medical Center to support the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
On Friday and Saturday,  if those dining at the restaurants present the printed flyer, the restaurants will donate 10 percent of the proceeds from the meals to the Relay.

Relay for Life to include blood drive

The Kentucky Blood Center’s Bloodmobile will be at the Clark County Relay for Life event at the George Rogers Clark High School track Friday from 6:30 to 10 p.m.
Blood donors must be at least 17 (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health.
The Relay for Life walk is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Blood transfusions for cancer patients are one of the reasons the KBC needs blood donations.

Hospital auxiliary to meet Monday

The monthly meeting of the Clark Regional Medical Center Auxiliary will be Monday, June 13.
The officer volunteer meeting will commence at 9:30 a.m. and the general meeting at 10:30 a.m.

Storytelling Camp at Clark Middle

A Storytelling Camp hosted by Clark Middle School Speech and Drama Team will be June 27 to July 1 from 9 a.m. to noon or 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the school. The cost is $50. Registration ends June 20.
