Obituary: Ola Wells Hacker

WAYNESBURG — Ola Wells Hacker, 89, died June 6, 2011, in Belleview, Fla.

Born Nov. 7, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Ada Wells in Kings Creek, Ky. She was raised, met her husband and had her children while living in Parlor Grove until 1950. She and her husband, Cecil, retired to Ocala, Fla., from New Boston, Mich., in 1988. 

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Samuel) Smith of Allen Park, Mich.; her son, Glenn (Janet) Hacker of West Branch, Mich.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Estelle Douglas and Margaret Atwood; her brother, Willis (Jean) Wells; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cecil, and her brother, John Wells. She was a long time member of Grace Baptist Church of Belleview, Fla.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home with Bro. Kerry Jones officiating. Burial will be in Parlor Grove Cemetery, Waynesburg, Ky.
