Rosie Lee Merrill: June 24, 2011

Rosie Lee Merrill, 84, of Winchester, widow of Lewis Merrill, went to be with the Lord Friday, June 24.  
She was born in Clark County on Dec. 25, 1926 to the late Pascal and Bessie Baber. Rosie retired from the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Lexington on Leestown Road.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Thomas of Winchester and Betty Riendeau of Florida; one son, Tommie Strange of New Mexico; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, at Scobee Funeral Home by the Rev. Tom Hall.  
Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Thomas, Ronnie Lee Thomas, Ronnie Lee Thomas Jr., Jeremy Murrell, Michelle Murrell, Tiffany Haggard and Rebecca Strange.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 28 at Scobee Funeral Home.
