THURSDAY

— “Bean There: Coffee Country to Country” will be held at the Jessamine County Public Library at noon.

— The Jessamine County Public Library will host a virtual field trip to Ghana at 2 p.m.

FRIDAY

— Art Alive at the Jessamine County Public Library for elementary class aged children will be held at 10:30 a.m.

— Art Alive at the Jessamine County Public Library for teens through adults will be held at 2 p.m.

SATURDAY

— The Jessamine County Farmers Market will open in the Wilmore City Hall parking lot Saturday at 8 a.m.

— A free meal is provided by Manna Ministries each Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal is a restaurant-quality meal served at 303 W. Maple St. in the community center of Nicholasville United Methodist Church. The meal is open to the public for anyone in need. Takeout meals are available after 12:30 p.m. Volunteers are always welcome and can contact the office at 885-4481.

— Hot Sutherland Nights Cruise Ins will be held July 2 from 9 a.m to 9 p.m. Call 885-4101 for more information.

— Stonebridge Summer Saturday Night Concert Series begins its fifth season of outdoor music on the Wilmore Downtown Green starting Saturday, July 2, at 7 p.m. with the Walnut Street Ragtime Ramblers performing in the dixieland style. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets or use the ones provided. A local food vendor will be selling in the pavilion, and the Boy Scouts will have fresh popcorn ready. MONDAY

— The Jessamine County Senior Center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and welcomes people 60 years of age and older. The center has a fully equipped exercise room and a thrift shop. The seniors meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Activities are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bus service and a hot lunch are available on a donation basis. For more information, call 885-9102.

— The Jessamine County Senior Center, 111 Hoover Drive, plays bingo from noon to 1 p.m. Monday and Friday afternoons. Call 885-9102 for more information.

— The Jessamine County Public Library will host a summer storytime at 10:30 a.m. for families with children between the ages of 0 and 5.

— First Assembly of God, located at 1701 Wilmore Road, is sponsoring its Vacation Bible School from July 4 to July 8 from 6-9 p.m. Children from preschool age through the eighth grade are invited to experience “Shake it up Café.” For more information or to for a ride to VBS, call 859-553-3563.

TUESDAY

— The TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) weight-loss support group meets from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Creekside Senior Apartments, 407 N. 2nd St. in Nicholasville. For cost and more information, contact Donald Wither at 312-7455.

— Every Tuesday and Thursday, the Wilmore Community Center offers senior beginner computer classes from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

— Grace Community Church of the Nazarene will host its Vacation Bible School from July 11 to July 15. The church is located at 705 Shun Pike.

— The Nicholasville Fire Department will host a fish fry at 6 p.m. Aug. 6 at 1540 Jessamine Station Road. The proceeds will go toward the restoration of a 1950s fire truck. The cost is $20. For more information, call 983-3750.

— A reunion of the East and West Jessamine classes of 2001 is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 6, from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Barrel House, located at 903 Manchester St. Suite 150, in Lexington.
