Vacation Bible School

Special services

St. Peter AME Church — Sunday, the church will celebrate its 172 year anniversary. The 11 a.m. speaker will be the Rev. Frederick E. Hale. The host pastor is Ralph B. Smith.

Rejoice Temple of Praise — 3 p.m. Saturday, the church will host Family of God Fellowship Day with several singers and guest church congregations. The speaker will be minister Mary Daugherty Hall. The church is at 3845 Moores Lane, Junction City.

Danville First Church of God — 3 p.m. July 24, the church will have a dedication service for a new facility addition and celebrating the church’s 75 years of ministry to the community. Light refreshments will be served following the service and tours of the addition will be given.

Pastoral Anniversary

Vision Church of Holiness Inc. — noon Saturday, the church will celebrate the 33rd pastoral anniversary of the Rev. Larry D. Weathers Sr. and ninth anniversary of the church. The guests will be the Rev.  James Bird and congregation of Trinity Church of Holiness, Detroit, Mich.

Homecoming

Harrods Creek Baptist Church — Following the 11 a.m. Sunday service by the Rev. Stanley Hardin, the church will host a potluck homecoming. Destiny, a singing group from Indiana, will perform after the lunch at about 1:30 p.m. For information, call (606) 346-5571.
