Obituary: William Dooney Adams

MORELAND — William G. “Dooney” Adams, 70, of McKinney, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Lancaster Christian Care Center.
Born July 22, 1940, he was the son of the late Willie G. and Myrtle Miracle Adams. He retired from Sargent & Greenleaf in Nicholasville where he worked as a lock-maker for 20 years. He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include a son, Richard Lee (Julie) Adams of McKinney; a daughter, Missy Braden of McKinney; two sisters, Louise Polston of Danville and Delane Hayes of McKinney; a grandchild, Brandi Nicole (Tony) Adkins of Highland; and a great-grandchild, Alison Adkins. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy, and a brother, Wayne Adams.  
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Grace Fellowship Church by Bro. Vola Brown, with burial in New Salem Cemetery.  
Pallbearers will be Richard Adams, William Trent Adams, Kevin Carrier, Tony Adkins, Brandon Hines and Kevin Hayes. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Frederick and the HSC Unit girls at the Christian Care Center. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday at Grace Fellowship, U.S. 27 South, Stanford.
