MORELAND — David C. “Tommy Toe” Brown, 67, of Martinsville, Ind., died Thursday.  
Born May 7, 1944, he was the son of the late Luther L. and Maggie Vaught Brown. He was retired from Roadway Express, where he had worked for 25 years as a switcher. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Martinsville, Ind., and was a U.S. Army veteran.  
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sharpe Kress Brown; two stepsons, Kevin and Darin Kress, both of Bloomington, Ind.; five brothers, Elwood Brown, Charles Brown, Ervin Brown and Hershel “Bud” Brown, all of Hustonville, and Michael Brown of Indiana; four sisters, Opal Smiley of Lexington, Geneva Jeffries of Hustonville, Ruby Sewell of Nicholasville and Brenda Pemberton of Danville; five grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob, Allison, Brian and India Ray Kress.  
Services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by Bro. James Lynn with burial in Hustonville Cemetery with Military rites.  
Pallbearers are Greg, Scott and Courtney Jeffries, Seth Ellis, Kenny Hensley and David Smiley. Honorary pallbearers are Vernon Richards and D.C. Wilcher.  
Visitation is 6-9 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Morgan County Humane Society, 690 West Mitchell St., Martinsville, IN 46151.
