Heidi Kathleen Privett and Dillon John Ross were united in marriage in the presence of family, friends, and the majestic High Sierra Nevada Mountains on June 11. The outdoor ceremony in Sequoia National Park, Calif., was followed by dinner and dancing dinner at Wuksachi Lodge. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at Montecito Sequoia Lodge. A reception for the newlyweds was also hosted by the bride’s parents in Lexington on July 16.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. George and Nawanna Privett of Lexington and Holly and Gregg Clendenin of Nicholasville. She is a graduate of East Jessamine High School in Nicholasville, and graduated suma cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Centre College in Danville. She was a Fulbright Scholar and graduated from the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, Calif., with a Ph.D. in chemistry. She is presently employed as a computational protein design scientist with Protabit in Pasadena.
