The engagement of Miss Kimberly Jean Daugherty to David Paul Keim is announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Daugherty, Winchester. Mr. Keim is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas P. Keim, Phoenixville, Pa. The bride-elect is a graduate of Mercer County High School, Harrodsburg, and will graduate this year from Eastern Kentucky University. Mr. Keim, a graduate of Phoenixville Area High School, is employed by Hills Department Store, Lexington.

A brief but powerful thunderstorm that blew through Clark County early Saturday night left hundreds of homes without electricity for more than two hours, but caused no major injuries or crop damage, according to local officials. The storm packed strong winds, sporadic heavy rain and some hail as it quickly rumbled through the area.
