The Wilderness Trace YMCA serves Boyle, Mercer, Garrard and Washington County families with many very beneficial programs. In times such as these, these programs can fill “quality of life needs” with the overlay of Christian caring and leadership. Many children participate in summer daycare and after school programs in elementary schools in these counties and, therefore, are not spending idle time alone while out of school while parents work.
Additionally, there are sports and fitness programs in several venues, such as fitness boot camp, basketball leagues, flag football and winter swimming with a competitive swim team.
The YMCA relies on donations to underwrite its programs, allowing the participation fees to be very affordable. It also offers scholarships for most of its programs.
Take a look at the Wilderness Trace YMCA. It is “good news” in this chaotic world, and it is quietly providing opportunities to many central Kentucky families. Join the Y and have fun.
