Flames were shooting from the roof of a home on Dixiana Drive when Clark County firefighters arrived on the scene shortly after 2 a.m. today. Battalion Chief Ernie Barnes and another firefighter battled the two-alarm blaze from a side door while other firefighters attacked it from the other side. The house is owned by Wilma Hillard and was unoccupied at the time. The cause of the blaze is under investigation by the department.
